Mr. Ali Ibrahim Mohammad

Mr. Ali Ibrahim Mohammad is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Amlak Finance PJSC, a position he has held since April 2015. He was Vice Chairman of Board of Directors at Amlak from March 2007 till March 2015 and served as a Member of Board of Directors from March 2004 till March 2007. Additionally, he is Board Member of Emaar Industries and Investment; Managing Director, Emcredit; and Board Member of Emirates Collection Company and Al Nasr Sport Club. Earlier, he was also Board Member of Dubai Financial Market, Member of the Supreme Insurance Committee and Chairman of Emaar Financial Brokerage, and Member of Commercial Agencies Committee.

Mr. Ali has held the position of Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs at the Dubai Economic Department from 2003 to 2010 and Deputy Director General for Planning & Development Affairs at Dubai Economic Department since 2010. He served as Director of Business Registration Division at the same organization from 1997 to 2003 and Director of Planning & Studies Division from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Ali participated in the working groups, which prepared Dubai Strategic Plan 2007-2015, and also supervised DED’s working team, which updated the economic plan 2013 -2015.

Mr. Ali began his career at the UAE Central Bank as Senior Statistician in the Monetary & Banking Statistics Section in 1983 and was appointed Head of Monetary Statistics Section in 1984. He served as Director Assistance of Research & Statistics Division from 1987 to 1993.

A UAE national, Mr. Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and in English from UAE University and is fluent in Arabic and English.
