In January 2007 Amlak, the largest publicly listed Islamic finance company and pioneer in home finance in the UAE, announced its international expansion schedule, with the launch of its first international office in Cairo. The company now operates under the name ‘Amlak Finance Egypt Company S.A.E’ as per the Commercial Register in Egypt.
Registered under the Egyptian Joint Stock Company Law and Mortgage Finance Law as a home finance company, Amlak will be the first institution to offer Islamic Home Finance products in Egypt in accordance with Shari’a principles.
