Mr. Ali Ibrahim Mohammad

Mr. Ali Ibrahim Mohammad is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Amlak Finance PJSC, a position he has held since April 2015.  He was Vice Chairman of Board of Directors at Amlak from March 2007 till March 2015 and served as a Member of Board of Directors from March 2004 till March 2007. Additionally, he is Board Member of Emaar Industries and Investment; Managing Director, Emcredit; and Board Member of Emirates Collection Company and Al Nasr Sport Club.  Earlier, he was also Board Member of Dubai Financial Market, Member of the Supreme Insurance Committee and Chairman of Emaar Financial Brokerage, and Member of Commercial Agencies Committee.

Mr. Ali has held the position of Deputy Director General for Executive Affairs at the Dubai Economic Department from 2003 to 2010 and Deputy Director General for Planning & Development Affairs at Dubai Economic Department since 2010. He served as Director of Business Registration Division at the same organization from 1997 to 2003 and Director of Planning & Studies Division from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Ali participated in the working groups, which prepared Dubai Strategic Plan 2007-2015, and also supervised DED’s working team, which updated the economic plan 2013 -2015.

Mr. Ali began his career at the UAE Central Bank as Senior Statistician in the Monetary & Banking Statistics Section in 1983 and was appointed Head of Monetary Statistics Section in 1984. He served as Director Assistance of Research & Statistics Division from 1987 to 1993.

A UAE national, Mr. Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and in English from UAE University and is fluent in Arabic and English.

Mr. Essamuddin Galadari

Mr. Essamuddin Galadari is a member of Amlak Finance’s Board of Directors. In addition to this, he is also the Chief Executive Officer for Ithra Dubai LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Investment Corporation of Dubai.

He brings nearly 31 years of experience in the construction and development industry to his roles. He is also currently an active member of several professional associations including the U.A.E. Society of Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineering in the United Kingdom. 

Prior to his current positions, Mr. Galadari held a number of leadership positions with Emaar Properties. This includes CEO of Emaar Properties, Managing Director of Emaar Bawadi, and Managing Director of Emaar International. He was instrumental in finalizing major projects such as Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa and was responsible for expanding the business into 11 countries in Asia and North Africa. He also served on the Board of Directors of several Emaar companies.

Mr. Galadari began his career at Dubai Municipality as a Projects Manager. In this role, he was responsible for infrastructure development projects which assisted Dubai in becoming a global city. He was later on promoted to Head of General Projects Section, and later to Head of Roads Construction. 

Mr. Galadari received his Civil Engineering degree from the Polytechnic of Wales. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Structural Engineering from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Mr. Saleh Saeed Lootah

Mr. Saleh Saeed Lootah is a Member of the Board of Directors at Amlak Finance PJSC, a position he has held since March 2004. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Amlak International, Riyadh, KSA.

In addition to his roles with Amlak, Mr. Lootah is the Founding Principal of Saleh Saeed Lootah Holding. Based in Dubai, Saleh Saeed Lootah Holding is a venture capital firm with interests in Islamic Financing, Energy, Real Estate, Insurance and Re-insurance, Takaful, Logistics, and Healthcare.

Mr. Lootah also holds a number of other senior positions. This includes Executive Director of the SS Lootah Group, Member of the Executive Committee of the Dubai Economic Council, Member of the Board of Directors of Taaleem, and Member of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Medical College for Girls.

Previously, Mr. Lootah served as Member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Islamic Bank, where he chaired the Board Credit Committee for five years. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors & Chairman of Audit Committee of Awqaf & Minors Affairs Foundation.

Mr. Lootah is a Graduate in Islamic Banking from the Islamic School for Training & Education, Dubai, as well as Alumni of IMD Switzerland and Harvard Business School

Mr. Farooq Mahmood Arjomand

Mr. Farooq Mahmood Arjomand is a Founding Member of the Board of Directors at Amlak Finance PJSC. In addition, he is also a Founding Member of Emaar Properties PJSC, Vice Chairman of Damac Properties PJSC, and Chairman of the Arjomand Group, a conglomerate with interests in 15 industries and offices in Europe, the Far East and the GCC countries.

Mr. Arjomand began his career with HSBC in 1984. During his 17 years with the Bank, he gained extensive experience across a number of functions, including customer service, private banking, corporate finance, trade services, and investment banking.

 Mr. Arjomand holds a degree in Business Management from the Seattle Pacific University, Seattle Washington, USA.

Mr. Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim

H.E. Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim is a Member of Amlak Finance’s Board of Directors. He is also the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Wasl Asset Management Group, where he is responsible for restructuring and developing a clear mechanism for the Group’s provision of high quality services. Under his leadership, Wasl has achieved remarkable success in the management and ownership of large-scale real estate projects undertaken for the Dubai Government.

In addition to his current roles, Mr. Al Qassim is also a Board Member of Dubai International Financial Centre Authority, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, DIFC Investments LLC., National General Insurance Co., the International Humanitarian City, Pak Telecom Mobile Ltd and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited. He also holds a number of Chairmanship roles, including Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD Bank PJSC, Chairman of Emirates Islamic and Emirates NBD Egypt, Chairman of the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies and Dubai Sports Corporation.

Prior to joining Wasl, Mr. Al Qassim held senior roles at National Bank of Dubai. In his position as General Manager at the Bank, he was an architect for new strategies in retail and corporate banking as well as treasury and trade finance. His innovations led the bank to become a leading financial institution in the United Arab Emirates.

Mr. Al Qassim is also an advocate for recognizing and developing local talent. He is committed to nurturing home-grown skills and, in line with this, is one of the founders of the Young Arab Leaders Organization.

Mr. Al Qassim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance and a Master’s Degree in International Business Management and Executive Leadership Development from the University of Wollongong Dubai.

span>Major General Ahmad Hamdan Bin Dalmook is a Member of the Board of Directors, Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee, and a Member of the Zakat Committee at Amlak Finance PJSC. He brings decades of experience to these roles, which he has held since March 2007.

In addition to his current roles with Amlak, Major General Bin Dalmook is also the Director General of the Department of Training at Dubai Police. He has also held several other leadership positions with Dubai Police, including Deputy Director of the General Department of Planning and Development, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs, Deputy Director of the General Department of Moral Guidance, Director of the General Department of E-Services, and Director or the Institute for Security and Management.

span>In addition to his positions at Amlak, Major General Bin Dalmook is also a member of several committees and societies which work for social, technological, and educational development. These include the Higher Committee for Projects and New Technologies, Executive Team of e-Government, Supreme Committee for Drafting Federal Standard Electronic Traffic Rules, Higher Committee for Naturalization and Residency, Scientific Council of Dubai Police, and Board of Dubai Police Academy. He is also member of the prestigious Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University.

Major General Bin Dalmook holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Administrative Systems from the University of Pacific Lutheran (Washington). He also has a Diploma in Police Sciences from the Dubai Police Academy and a Diploma in Leadership Development from Dubai School of Government.

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Arif Alharmi is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Amlak Finance PJSC. With over 25 years of experience, he has played a key role throughout Amlak’s organizational transformation and drove Amlak’s financial restructuring, which was successfully completed in November 2014.

In addition to his role at Amlak, Mr. Alharmi holds board and executive positions with leading institutions across the region. Currently, he is the Chairman of Emaar Industries & Investments and Chairman of Amlak Finance Egypt and a Board Member of Al Salam Bank, Algeria. Previously, he held the role of Vice-Chairman at TECOM Group, and was a Board Member of Awqaf & Minors affair Foundation, and Amlak International for Finance & Real Estate Development, Saudi Arabia.

Prior to joining Amlak, Mr. Alharmi had 15 years banking experience holding a number of senior managerial positions at leading international and domestic financial institutions, including HSBC Bank ME, Dubai Islamic Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, and National Bank of Fujairah, primarily in corporate and Shari’a compliant banking.

Given Mr. Alharmi’s drive for excellence and his significant contributions to Amlak Finance, he received a number of prestigious awards including “Top CEO 2016”, “Finance Monthly CEO Award” in both years 2015 and 2016, and “CEO of the Year” award in 2008. Under his leadership, Amlak received a number of prestigious awards including “Best Islamic Finance CSR Company”, “Best Sharia Compliant Property Finance Company” and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s CSR Label in both years 2015 and 2016.

Mr. Alharmi holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong, Dubai.
